chocolate on the brain giveaway-winner #5
random.org picked the number five!! congrats "tealady"!
aren't these note cards too cute? "chocolate on the brain", that is me to a "t". i love the stuff. i am a chocolate, dark chocolate, junkie. i am diabetic, but still indulge in some bittersweet pleasure every so often, okay, pretty much every freaking day. i can not lie. i am always on the search for the best super dark, 80% or higher, i can find. lately, i have been nibbling on a huge bag(sam's club size) of dark bittersweet ghirardelli chips. i just let them slowly melt in my mouth, a real treat with a cup of hot coffee. anyway, when i saw these little note cards at tj maxx today i just
knew i needed to buy them, so i could them give away. there are 12 different designs with a chocolate recipe on the back of each. i love stationary. i am always in need of little cards like this to send to my daughter's school, etc...
aren't they sweet? or at least semi-sweet? want them? leave me a comment as to what kind of chocolate you prefer or don't. milk, dark or maybe that faux white chocolate, which makes no sense to me, but that is a whole another post. also, please leave me a way to contact you. i will let the ol'random wizard pick a number and i will send you these note cards plus a few other surprises 'cause that is how i roll. let's play the game till friday midnight and u.s. folks only. international shipping is killer, so sad. have fun. enjoy.

Hey there,
First of all, I should start by saying that I don't like chocolate...at all. Actually, that's not exactly true. I love the fake-o white chocolate, but that shouldn't count.
However, somehow I have two children who LOVE chocolate. It kills me. I just wanted one of them to like vanilla best...is that so hard? Oh well, neither of them are left-handed (like me), either.
The chocolate obsession is particularly bad with the 22 month old. From the moment he wakes up, he says "nummy?" with this cute, questioning tone. That's his word for chocolate. He also says this anytime we're in the kitchen. Sometimes he gets so worked up that he's crying and saying "nummy!" while he's all snotty.
The best is when I'm putting him to bed and reading one of his board books. He has one that talks about a different color on every page. Guess what's on the "brown" page? A picture of a candy bar. It doesn't matter how sleepy he is, when we get to the brown page, he perks up and yells "NUMMY!!!" Mind you, I don't think he's ever seen a candy bar; I don't know how he knows what it is...but I think we're in trouble with this kid.
And the 7 year old prefers fancy, handmade chocolate from a local store in Portland named Alma. Pretty soon we're going to start withdrawing $ from her college account to pay for her addiction.
Not to mention, she's starting to really get into cooking (she was a chef one halloween). I'm sure it's not long before she's making me cook stuff with chocolate more advanced than brownies from a box and hot cocoa...those probably don't count, huh?
Sheesh...kids.

I love GOOD chocolate! But if I have to pick a favorite, it would be dark.
I enjoy food covered in chocolate. My favorite would be chocolate covered raisins. Oh yeah! I like Mint Chocolate...I like chocolate in my cookies....I like chocolate in my ice cream....I like chocolate in my coffee....I even like the movie with Johnny Depp called Chocolate!
I have to be in the mood to eat dark chocolate straight, but I love to bake with it. And yup! Ghirardelli's my fave, too. But just to eat? Milk chocolate. Just something about the way it coats your tongue when it melts in your mouth. And Nutella. Is that a different category?
Great giveaway - the cards are so cute.
Your chicken coop is amazing! Those chickens are so lucky to live in such a great place. Love the welcome sign on the coop.
Well I won't turn down any type of chocolate, but I do love mine Dark. And Rich!!
I love chocolate. Dark chocolate is my absolute fav! Fabulous giveaway. I love the card format!
Ohhh I love Milk Chocolate!
